Removal Procedure
- The supercharger and throttle body may be removed as an assembly. If not servicing the individual components, remove the supercharger as an assembly.
- Cover the inlet area of the supercharger to prevent dirt or debris contamination onto the rotors.
- The supercharger intercoolers and fasteners are not serviceable and are not to be tampered with or removed at any time for any reason.
- Drain the charge air cooling system. Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling (LT4)
Charge Air Cooler Cover (2) - Remove - Charge Air Cooler Cover Replacement
Supercharger Belt (2) - Remove - Supercharger Belt Replacement
Power Brake Booster Vacuum Pipe (1) @ Throttle Body Assembly - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Pipe (1) - Disconnect @ Throttle Body Assembly - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose (1) - Remove - Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement (Intake Manifold To PCV Valve) , or Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement (LT4 - Left Rocker Arm Cover To Oil Separator) , or Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement (LT4 - Oil Separator To Air Cleaner Outlet Duct) , or Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement (LT4 - Right Rocker Arm Cover To Oil Separator)
- Charge Air Cooler Coolant Hose - Disconnect @ Supercharger Water Manifold - Charge Air Cooler Coolant Hose Replacement - Pump to Cooler (LT4)
- Charge Air Cooler Coolant Hose - Disconnect @ Supercharger Water Manifold - Charge Air Cooler Coolant Hose Replacement - Cooler to Radiator (LT4)
Disconnect electrical connectors (1, 2, and 3).
- Disconnect the charge air bypass regulator solenoid valve electrical connector. Charge Air Bypass Regulator Solenoid Valve Replacement
- Raise the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (ZL1) , or Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Convertible)
- Loosen the front cradle bolts and lower the engine and cradle assembly approximately 25 mm (1 inch).
- Lower the vehicle.
- Disconnect the supercharger air outlet pressure sensor. Supercharger Air Outlet Pressure Sensor Replacement
Remove the supercharger bolts (1) and sealing washers (2).
- Disconnect and detach harness connectors and retainers as necessary.
Install the EN-48898 fixture (1) to the supercharger.
- Tighten the EN-48898 fixture bolts and nuts until snug.
Remove the supercharger (1) from the vehicle.
- Remove and DISCARD gaskets (2). Replacing Engine Gaskets
Remove the EN-48898 fixture (1) from the supercharger.
- If reusing the super charger, clean and inspect. Compressor Air Intake Supercharger Cleaning and Inspection (LT4)
