Installation Procedure

NOTE:

The supercharger and throttle body may be removed as an assembly. If not servicing the individual components, remove the supercharger as an assembly.
Cover the inlet area of the supercharger to prevent dirt or debris contamination onto the rotors.

Install the EN-48898 fixture (1) to the supercharger.
Tighten the EN-48898 fixture bolts and nuts until snug.

Using the lifting device, install the NEW supercharger gaskets (1) and the supercharger (2) onto the engine. Align the dowel pin at the right front of the supercharger to the cylinder head.

Remove the EN-48898 fixture (1) from the supercharger.

Install the NEW supercharger bolts (1) and sealing washers (2).

CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .

NOTE:
The supercharger bolts need to be tightened twice, in sequence, to the same torque value, to ensure the proper bolt clamp load and sealing.

Tighten the bolts.
1. Tighten the bolts a first pass in sequence to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
2. Tighten the bolts a final pass in sequence to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
Connect the supercharger air outlet pressure sensor. Supercharger Air Outlet Pressure Sensor Replacement
Raise the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (ZL1) , or Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Convertible)
Tighten the front cradle bolts. Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Replacement (LT1, LT4)
Lower the vehicle.
Attach and connect harness retainers and connectors as necessary.
Connect the charge air bypass regulator solenoid valve electrical connector. Charge Air Bypass Regulator Solenoid Valve Replacement

Connect electrical connectors (1, 2, and 3).

Fill the charge air cooling system. Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling (LT4)
