Intake Manifold Replacement
Removal Procedure
- Relieve the fuel system pressure. Fuel Pressure Relief
- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose (1) - Remove - Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose Replacement
Throttle Body Assembly - Remove - Throttle Body and Throttle Body Adapter Assembly Replacement
Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Pump - Remove - Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Pump Replacement
Turbocharger Wastegate Regulator Solenoid Valve - Remove - Turbocharger Wastegate Regulator Solenoid Valve Replacement
Fuel Pump Cover - Remove - Fuel Pump Cover Replacement
- Intake Air Pressure and Temperature Sensor Connector - Disconnect
Intake Manifold Bolt (1) - Remove [4x] - Intake Manifold Removal
Intake Manifold Seal (4) - Remove and DISCARD [3x]
- Intake Manifold (2) - Remove
- Transfer components as necessary. Intake Manifold Disassemble
- Clean and inspect Intake Manifold Cleaning and Inspection
Installation Procedure
- Transfer components as necessary. Intake Manifold Assemble
Intake Manifold Seal (4) - Install NEW [3x]
- Intake Manifold (2) - Install

Intake Manifold Bolt - Install [4x]
- Intake Manifold Bolt (1) - Tighten in sequence [5x]
- First Pass: 7 N.m (62 lb in)
- Final Pass: 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
- Intake Air Pressure and Temperature Sensor Connector - Connect
- Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Connector - Connect
Fuel Pump Cover - Install - Fuel Pump Cover Replacement
Turbocharger Wastegate Regulator Solenoid Valve - Install - Turbocharger Wastegate Regulator Solenoid Valve Replacement
Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Pump - Install - Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Pump Replacement
Throttle Body Assembly - Install - Throttle Body and Throttle Body Adapter Assembly Replacement
Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose (1) - Install - Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose Replacement
- Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
Check that the locating pins (1, 3) sit correct in their hole.
