Oil Pressure Diagnosis and Testing: Procedure

    Disconnect the electrical connector. (1)

  2. Engine Oil Pressure Sensor (2) - Remove - Engine Block Disassemble 
  3. Seal @ Engine Oil Pressure Sensor (3) - Remove and DISCARD

    Install the EN-21867-850  Oil Pressure Gauge Adapter (2).

  5. Install the KM-498-B  Oil Pressure Gauge (1).
  6. Start the engine.
  7. Check the engine oil pressure.
    1. At idling speed, the oil pressure is 160 - 200 kPa (23.21 - 29.01 psi) and the oil temperature must be between 80°C (176°F) and 100°C (212°F).
    2. At 4000 RPM, the oil pressure is 340 - 380 kPa (49.31 - 55.11 psi) and the oil temperature must be between 80°C (176°F) and 100°C (212°F).
  8. Turn off the engine.
  9. Remove the KM-498-B  Oil Pressure Gauge (1).
  10. Remove the EN-21867-850  Oil Pressure Gauge Adapter (2).

    Seal @ Engine Oil Pressure Sensor (3) - Install NEW

  12. Engine Oil Pressure Sensor (2) - Install - Engine Block Assemble 
  13. Connect the electrical connector. (1)
  14. Check the engine oil level.
