Removal Procedure

- Fuel Injector Replacement - Remove
- Vacuum Pump Assembly Replacement - Remove
- Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube Replacement (Fresh Air) , or Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube Replacement (Foul Air) - Remove
Wiring Harness Connector (2) - Disconnect [2x]
- Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Disconnect
- NOTE:
The PCV valve and tube assembly (2) are not reusable. If reinstalling the camshaft cover, do no remove the PCV valve and tube assembly (2) from the camshaft cover.
Remove the PCV valve tube fastener (1).
- Turbocharger Coolant Return Pipe Replacement (LFV) - Remove
- Oil Level Indicator - Remove
- Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Replacement - Intake - Remove
- Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Replacement - Exhaust - Remove
- Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement - Intake - Remove
- Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement - Exhaust - Remove
- NOTE:
Note the location of the two camshaft cover double end fasteners (1) for correct installation.
Camshaft Cover Bolt (1, 2) - Remove
- Camshaft Cover (3) - Remove
Camshaft Cover Gasket (1) - Remove and DISCARD
- If reinstalling the camshaft cover (2), clean and inspect as needed.
NOTE:
Reposition the wiring harness.
