Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery) 
  2. Remove the drive belt. Drive Belt Replacement
  3. Remove the engine cover. Engine Cover Replacement
  4. Remove the driver seat. Front Seat Removal and Installation

    Generator Terminal Boot (4) - Reposition

  6. Battery Positive Cable Nut(3) - Remove
  7. Battery Positive Cable(2) - Remove
  8. Electrical Connector(1) - Disconnect
  9. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement

    Retainer(2) - Disengage

  11. Generator Mounting Bolt(1) - Remove[2x]
  12. Generator(3) - Remove
