Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear side 60/40 door trim panel. Rear Side 60/40 Door Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side (E24, 40 Door)Rear Side 60/40 Door Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side (E24, 60 Door)
  2. Remove the body side window. Body Side Window Replacement (Stationary)Body Side Window Replacement (Swing out)
  3. Remove the rear side door lower weatherstrip. Rear Side Door Lower Weatherstrip Replacement 
  4. Remove the side rear door upper and lower door wedges from the door. Sliding Rear Side Door Locator and Door Side Wedge Replacement (Locator) 
  5. Remove the upper and the lower door latches. Rear Side Door Latch Replacement - Upper , and Rear Side Door Lower Latch Replacement
  6. Remove the latch handle. Rear Side Door Latch Control Replacement
  7. Remove the latch striker. Rear Side Door Latch Striker Replacement - Lower

    Remove the side rear door hinge pins (1) using the J 41226  door hinge pin drillout kit and the J 41226-50  door hinge pin adapter kit.

  9. Remove the side rear door (2) from the vehicle.
