Fuel Injection Pump Driven Sprocket Removal

Special Tools 

EN-50885-2  Locking Tool

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

    Install the EN-50885-2  locking tool.

    1. Install the housing (3) to the fuel injection pump driven sprocket nut (2). Ensure that the 3 tappets (1) mesh with the 3 slots of the fuel injection pump driven sprocket nut.
    2. Position the ring (4) for a good handling.
    3. Screw in the fixing tool (5) into the fuel injection pump driven sprocket nut.

    Install a 1/2" extension (1) to the EN-50885-2  locking tool (2) to counterhold.

  3. Loosen the fuel injection pump driven sprocket nut.

    Remove the fuel injection pump driven sprocket nut (1).

    Install the pressure spindle (1) to the EN-50885-2  locking tool (2).

    Press out the fuel injection pump sprocket (2), by screw in the pressure spindle (4) into the EN-50885-2  fixing tool (1).

  7. Remove the fuel injection fuel pump driven sprocket.
  8. Remove the EN-50885-2  fixing tool from the fuel injection pump driven sprocket.
