Camshaft Timing Chain Removal

Special Tools
- EN-50513 Fixing Pin
- EN-51140 Crankshaft Fixing Tool
- EN-51143 Camshaft Sprocket Fixing Tool
For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .
Install the 4 crankshaft pulley bolts (1).
- NOTE:
If the bores not aligned turn the crankshaft at the crankshaft pulley bolts.
Check if the bores (1) are aligned.
Turn the exhaust camshaft at the hexagon so far if the EN-51143 fixing tool (1) can be installed.
Remove the 4 crankshaft pulley bolts (1).
Install the EN-51140 fixing tool (2).
- Install the fixing pin into the engine block bore (1) and tighten the 2 bolts (3).
Tension the timing chain tensioner (1) in arrow direction.
- Install the EN-50513 pin (2).
Remove the timing chain tensioner shoe bolt (2).
- Remove the timing chain tensioner shoe (1).
Remove the 2 timing chain lower guide bolts (2).
- Remove the timing chain lower guide (1).
Loosen the timing chain upper guide bolt (1).
- Remove the timing chain upper guide bolt (3).
- Move the timing chain upper guide (2) in the direction of arrow.
Remove the timing chain (1).
Remove the upper timing chain upper guide bolt (2).
- Remove the timing chain upper guide (1).
