Removal Procedure

Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
Remove the engine sight shield. Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
Remove the camshaft timing chain. Refer to Camshaft Timing Chain Replacement .

Install the EN-50885-2 locking tool.
1. Install the housing (3) to the fuel injection pump driven sprocket nut (2). Ensure that the 3 tappets (1) mesh with the 3 slots of the fuel injection pump driven sprocket nut.
2. Position the ring (4) for a good handling.
3. Install the fixing tool (5) into the fuel injection pump driven sprocket nut.

Install a 1/2" extension (1) to the EN-50885-2 locking tool (2) to counterhold.
Loosen the fuel injection pump driven sprocket nut.

Remove the fuel injection pump driven sprocket nut (1).

Install the pressure spindle (1) to the EN-50885-2 locking tool (2).

Press out the fuel injection pump sprocket (2), by screw in the pressure spindle (4) into the EN-50885-2 fixing tool (1).
Remove the fuel injection fuel pump driven sprocket.
Remove the EN-50885-2 fixing tool from the fuel injection pump driven sprocket.
