Removal Procedure

  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Fuel Pressure Relief
  2. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
  3. Fuel Feed Front Pipe Replacement - Reposition away
  4. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement - Remove
  5. Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose Replacement - Disconnect

    Disconnect the electrical connectors.(1, 2)

  7. Throttle Body Assembly Replacement - Remove

    NOTE:

    Bolt retainers keep the bolts in position on the assembly. If the bolts are removed from the assembly, the 2 shorter bolts go to the outside lower locations.

    Fully loosen the intake manifold fasteners (1) then remove the intake manifold (2).

    Intake Manifold Gasket(1) - Remove and DISCARD

  10. Clean and inspect the intake manifold.(2) Intake Manifold Cleaning and Inspection .
  11. If replacing the intake manifold, transfer all necessary parts.
