Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2017 Chevrolet Spark. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the front strut assembly to the vehicle.
  2. Install the front suspension strut mount rebound bumper stopper (2).

  3. Using the CH-49375  strut rod nut socket, install the front suspension strut upper mounting nut (1) and tighten to 65 N.m (48 lb ft).
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
    CAUTION: Completely fix the strut pivot with the special tool not to rotate when removing the strut upper mounting nut. Failure to do this could cause damage to the vehicle or component.
  4. Install the windshield wiper transmission assembly for the left side. Refer to Windshield Wiper Transmission Replacement .
  5. Install the air inlet grille panel assembly. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement .
  6. Install the front suspension strut bolts (1) and nuts (2) attaching the strut to the knuckle and tighten the nuts (2) to 100 N.m (74 lb ft).

  7. Connect the front stabilizer shaft link (2) from the strut.

  8. Install the front stabilizer shaft link upper nut (1) and tighten to 70 N.m (52 lb ft).
  9. Attach the wheel speed sensor wiring harness grommet (2) to the strut bracket.

  10. Attach the brake hose (1) to the strut mounted brake hose retaining bracket (2).

  11. Install the front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  12. Lower the vehicle.
