Installation Procedure

  1. Install the thermostat bypass pipe (3).

  2. Install the thermostat bypass pipe bolt (1) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the clamp (2).
  4. Install a NEW thermostat bypass pipe gasket (1).

  5. Install the 2 thermostat bypass pipe bolts (2) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  6. Install the catalytic converter heat shield. Refer to Catalytic Converter Heat Shield Replacement (LV7) .
  7. Install the radiator surge tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement .
  8. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
