Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Intake Manifold Gasket

  1. Install a NEW Intake Manifold Gasket (1)
  2. Install Intake Manifold.
  3. Raise the front of the engine back into position.

  4. Install Engine Mount Bolt (1) - [2x] - Engine Mount Replacement

  5. Remove Engine Support Fixture (1, 2, 3, 4. 6, and 7) - Engine Support Fixture 
  6. Install the fuel injection fuel rail fuel pressure sensor. Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor Replacement

  8. Loosely install Upper Intake Manifold Bolt (3)
  9. Raise the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  10. Loosely install Lower Intake Manifold Bolt.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  11. tighten in sequence

    tighten

    1. First Pass:12 N.m (106 lb in)
    2. Final Pass:12 N.m (106 lb in)

  12. Reposition the harness (2) as needed, then install the wiring harness retainers (1).

  13. Reposition Engine Wiring Harness (5)
  14. Connect Electrical Connector (2)
  15. Connect Electrical Connector (3)
  16. Connect Wiring Harness Retainer (4) [3x]
  17. Connect Electrical Connector (1)

  18. Reposition and connect the engine cooant air bleed hose (2) as necessary. Engine Coolant Air Bleed Hose Replacement (Radiator Surge Tank to Radiator to Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe LTG)
  19. Install Throttle Body Assembly -Throttle Body Assembly Replacement
  20. Install Fuel Feed Front Pipe - Fuel Feed Front Pipe Replacement
  21. Install Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve - Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement
  22. Install Air Cleaner Outlet Duct - Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (Non-Tamperproof)Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (Tamperproof)
  23. Remove Intake Manifold Cover - Intake Manifold Cover Replacement
