Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2019 Buick Cascada, 2018 Buick Cascada, and 2017 Buick Cascada. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. After comparing the new with the old harness lay the new body wiring harness into the passenger compartment and carry the new harness trough the bulkhead into the engine compartment.
  2. NOTE:

    Take care for the leak tightness.

  3. Install the wiring harness guidance in the bulkhead.
  4. Now check that there is no twisting in the harness and fix the new body wiring harness.
  5. NOTE:

    Take care for the correct counterpart and the pin assignment. Use the pictures for orientation.

  6. Connect all electrical connectors.
  7. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  8. Tighten all mass cables to the weld studs to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

    Install the body wiring harness (1) from interior to roof by means off the hole from instrument panel upper outer trim panel on left and right side.

  10. Install the body wiring harness to roof frame and A-pillars.
  11. Install the left and right instrument panel upper outer trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Outer Trim Panel Replacement [2x] - Install
  12. Install the brake, accelerator, and clutch pedal . Refer to Brake and Accelerator Pedal Assembly Replacement - Install
  13. Use the pictures for correct orientation.
  14. Front Compartment Fuse Block Replacement  - Install
  15. Fuse Block Replacement  - Install
  16. Raise the vehicle.
  17. Use the pictures for correct orientation.
  18. Connect the body wiring harness to steering gear.
  19. Windshield Washer Solvent Container Replacement - Install
  20. Install the body wiring harness to fuel tank filler door lock actuator.
  21. Connect the body wiring harness to electrical park brake.
  22. Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement 2x - Install
  23. Lower the vehicle.
  24. Use the pictures for correct orientation.
  25. Windshield Side Garnish Molding Replacement 2x - Install
  26. Install the headlining front trim panel. Refer to Headlining Front Trim Panel Replacement .
  27. Install both tail lamps. Refer to Tail Lamp Replacement 2x - Install
  28. Rear Seat Back Cushion Removal and Installation - Right Side - Install
  29. Rear Seat Back Cushion Removal and Installation - Left Side - Install
  30. Use the pictures for correct orientation.
  31. Front Floor Panel Carpet Replacement - Install
  32. Use the pictures for correct orientation.
  33. Rear Body Fuse Block Replacement  - Install
  34. Quarter Window Finish Molding Replacement 2x - Install
  35. Load Floor Module Rear Trim Finish Panel Replacement - Install
  36. Use the pictures for correct orientation.
  37. Quarter Inner Trim Finish Panel Replacement - Left Side - Install
  38. Quarter Inner Trim Finish Panel Replacement - Right Side - Install
  39. Rear End Trim Finish Panel Replacement - Install
  40. Folding Top Stowage Compartment Replacement - Install
  41. Battery Tray Replacement - Install
  42. Install the MDI, turn on the ignition and read out the trouble codes. If there are any stored DTCs delete them and read out the trouble codes again.
  43. Headlamp Aiming .
  44. Program the volatile memory and then check all electrical functions and make a test run. Refer to Volatile Memory Programming .
  45. Clean the car outside and inside.
