Circuit/System Testing

- Perform the High Voltage Disabling
procedure for servicing the T6 Power Inverter Module or T12 Transmission.WARNING:
Always perform the High Voltage Disabling procedure prior to servicing any High Voltage component or connection. Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and proper procedures must be followed.
The High Voltage Disabling procedure will perform the following tasks:
- Identify how to disable high voltage.
- Identify how to test for the presence of high voltage.
- Identify condition under which high voltage is always present and personal protection equipment (PPE) and proper procedures must be followed.
Failure to follow the procedures exactly as written may result in serious injury or death.
NOTE: Perform Circuit/System Verification before Circuit/System Testing. - Remove the T6 Power Inverter Module. Refer to Drive Motor Generator Power Inverter Module Replacement .
- Test for infinite resistance between each of the AC circuit terminals listed below and ground for each phase of the appropriate M15 Drive Motor:
Drive Motor 1
- Terminal 1B phase U
- Terminal 1A phase V
- Terminal 1C phase W
Drive Motor 2
- Terminal 2B phase U
- Terminal 2A phase V
- Terminal 2C phase W
- If less than infinite resistance
Replace the M15 Drive Motor.
- If infinite resistance for all AC circuits
- Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
- Perform each of the operations listed below one at a time until the fault is corrected.
- Replace the T6 Power Inverter Module.
- Replace the M15 Drive Motor.
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
- Repeat the DTC check.
- If the DTC does not set
- All OK.
