Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the A/C compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (2.0L Diesel LUZ) , Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (1.4L LUV)  and Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (1.8L LUW and LWE) .
  2. Clamp air conditioning compressor in a soft jawed vice.
  3. Remove the compressor clutch plate.

    • Remove the bolt.
    • Counterhold with GE-48965  wrench.
  4. Remove the spacer washers.
    NOTE: Re-use spacer washers when refitting.
  5. Remove the retaining ring (1) from belt pulley.

  6. Pull off the compressor pulley (2).
