Installation Procedure

  1. Install the charge air cooler outlet air hose (3) to the throttle body.

  2. Close the spring clip (2).
  3. Install the charge air cooler outlet air hose bracket bolt (1) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  4. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  5. Reposition the radiator and charge air cooler assembly (3).
  6. Install the 2 radiator and charge air cooler bracket bolts (1) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
  7. Lock the charge air cooler outlet air hose (2) to the radiator and charge cooler assembly (3).
  8. Raise the vehicle by its half height. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  9. Install the front compartment insulator. Refer to Front Compartment Insulator Replacement .
  10. Install the front bumper fascia opening lower cover. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Opening Lower Cover Replacement .
  11. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  12. Connect the charge air temperature sensor - charge air cooler outlet pipe electrical connector.
  13. Install the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
  14. Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
