Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
- Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the front compartment insulator. Refer to Front Compartment Insulator Replacement .
- Remove the charge air temperature sensor - charge air cooler inlet pipe. Refer to Charge Air Temperature Sensor Replacement - Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe .
- Remove the 2 charge air cooler inlet air hose bolt (3).
- Remove the charge air cooler inlet air hose (4) from the turbocharger (1).
- Remove the charge air cooler inlet air hose gasket (2).
- Remove the charge air cooler inlet air hose (3, 5) from the charge air cooler (1).
- To get a better access, loosen the clamp (4) and separate the charge air cooler hose (5) from the bend (3).
- Loosen the clamp (2) and remove the charge air cooler inlet air hose bend (3) from charge air cooler (1).
