Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  4. Remove the front compartment insulator. Refer to Front Compartment Insulator Replacement .
  5. Remove the charge air temperature sensor - charge air cooler inlet pipe. Refer to Charge Air Temperature Sensor Replacement - Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe .
  6. Remove the 2 charge air cooler inlet air hose bolt (3).

  7. Remove the charge air cooler inlet air hose (4) from the turbocharger (1).
  8. Remove the charge air cooler inlet air hose gasket (2).
  9. Remove the charge air cooler inlet air hose (3, 5) from the charge air cooler (1).

    1. To get a better access, loosen the clamp (4) and separate the charge air cooler hose (5) from the bend (3).
    2. Loosen the clamp (2) and remove the charge air cooler inlet air hose bend (3) from charge air cooler (1).
