Positive Crankcase Ventilation Oil Separator Assembly Installation

Special Tools
- CH-48894 Drive Axle Boot Clamp Pliers
- EN-50956 GR-6 Arnold Drive Bit
For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .
- Install the positive crankcase ventilation oil separator hose (7) to the positive crankcase oil separator (6) with clamp (5).
- Install the positive crankcase ventilation tube (1) to the positive crankcase ventilation oil separator hose (7) with clamp (5).
- Tighten the 2 clamps (5), using the CH-48894 pliers.
- Install the positive crankcase ventilation hose (2) to the positive crankcase ventilation tube (1) with clamp (4).
- Install the positive crankcase ventilation heater (3) to the positive crankcase ventilation hose (2) with clamp (4).
- Tighten the 2 clamps (4), using the CH-48894 pliers.
- Loosely install the positive crankcase ventilation oil separator unit on top of the engine.
- Install NEW seal rings (6).
- Install the PCV oil separator (4) to the engine.NOTE: Ensure that the positive crankcase ventilation oil separator is in correct position inside of the oil pan.NOTE: Current laws require these fasteners only to be replaced with new tamper resistant fasteners identified specifically for this component. Refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog.
- Use EN-50956
bit and install the 2 positive crankcase ventilation oil separator bolts (5) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
- Tighten the upper positive crankcase ventilation oil separator bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
- Install the positive crankcase ventilation tube (3) with PCV heater and tighten the bolts (2) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
