Measuring Procedure

  1. Install EN-498-B  gauge (1).

  2. Install the engine oil cooler outlet hose. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Outlet Hose Replacement (2.0L Diesel LUZ) .
  3. Lower the vehicle.
  4. Start engine.
  5. Measure the oil pressure:
    NOTE: The oil temperature should be between 80°C (176°F) and 100°C (212°F).
    • The oil pressure at idle speed should be greater than 130 kPa (18.9 psi).
    • The oil pressure between 1500-2500 rpm should be 196-228 kPa (28.4-33.1 psi).
    • The oil pressure between 3000-4500 rpm should be 244-420 kPa (35.4-60.9 psi).
  6. Stop engine.
  7. If the engine oil pressure is below specifications, inspect the engine for one or more of the following conditions:
