Installation Procedure

  1. Install the generator (1) as shown in the graphic.

  2. Lay the generator in a suitable position at the suspension frame.
  3. Clip in and reposition the heater hoses as necessary.
  4. Raise the vehicle.
  5. Install the generator (4) to the engine.

  6. Install 2 generator bolts (2) and tighten to 60 N.m (44 lb ft).
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  7. Tighten the generator support bolt (3) to 60 N.m (44 lb ft).
  8. Install the generator positive cable and the generator positive cable nut (5). Tighten to 13 N.m (115 lb in).
  9. Install the generator wiring harness plug (1)
  10. Install the generator, air conditioning compressor and power steering pump belt. Refer to Generator, Air Conditioning Compressor and Power Steering Pump Belt Replacement .
  11. Install engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
  12. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
