Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement (LSA)

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Place a drain pan under the transmission fluid cooler pipe.
  3. Cap the fittings and plug the holes when removing the transmission fluid cooler pipe.
1 Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Assembly

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the quick connect fittings at the transmission. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Disconnect the rear transmission cooler outlet pipe to differential oil cooler hose/pipe from the transmission fluid cooler pipe. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Replacement - Rear Transmission Cooler Outlet Pipe to Differential Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe (LSA) Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Replacement - Rear Transmission Cooler Outlet Pipe to Differential Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe (LS7) .
  3. Inspect the transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Level Inspection .
  4. Inspect for transmission fluid leaks.
