Auxiliary Engine Oil Cooler Replacement (Export)

Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the left fender liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Front Liner) or Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Rear Liner) .
  3. Remove the left wheelhouse extension. Refer to Wheelhouse Extension Replacement .
  4. Install oil drain pan under the vehicle.
  5. Remove the engine oil cooler hose/pipe from the external oil cooler. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Pipe/Hose Quick Connect Fitting Replacement .
1 Auxiliary Engine Oil Cooler Nut
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten:  10 N.m (7 lb ft)

2 Auxiliary Engine Oil Cooler Bolt (Qty 2)

Tighten:  22 N.m (16 lb ft)

3 Auxiliary Engine Oil Cooler
CAUTION: If any malfunction is experienced which may cause debris to enter the oil supply, You must replace the engine oil cooler and hoses. Debris in the engine oil cooler and oil cooler hoses may be pulled back into the engine causing severe engine damage.

Tip:  Remove and discard all engine oil cooler hose/pipe seals.
