Rear Seat Inner Recliner Cable Replacement (Long Cable 60%)

Preliminary Procedures Remove the rear seat. Refer to Rear Seat Removal and Installation (60%) . Remove the rear seat outboard outer recliner cover. Refer to Rear Seat Recliner Outer Finish Cover Replacement - Inboard . Remove the rear back cushion filler panel. Refer to Rear Seat Back Filler Panel Replacement .
1	Retainer Clip TIP: Note the location of the retainer clip when removing the cable and always make sure the cable is attached to the clip in the same location and routed in the same way.
2	Rear Seat Back Latch Release Cable NOTE: If latches are not fully locked into position, the latches may have to be readjusted. Procedure Check for any foreign objects that may be lodged or trapped at the seats bite-line or under the seat that may hold the seat from locking into position. Note the routing of the cable for installation purposes. The cushion release cable must be routed inward towards the center of the seat as big loops. On the inboard side of the seat, the release cable must route under the trim cover. On the outboard side of the seat, the release cable must route underneath and behind the release lever. On the under side of the seat, the release cable must attach to both inboard and outboard front carriages, then guided into the cushion frame clips. TIP: Note the location of the cushion frame clips when removing the cable and always make sure the cable is attached to the clips in the same location.

Retainer Clip
TIP: Note the location of the retainer clip when removing the cable and always make sure the cable is attached to the clip in the same location and routed in the same way.

Rear Seat Back Latch Release Cable

NOTE:

If latches are not fully locked into position, the latches may have to be readjusted.

Procedure

Check for any foreign objects that may be lodged or trapped at the seats bite-line or under the seat that may hold the seat from locking into position.
Note the routing of the cable for installation purposes.
The cushion release cable must be routed inward towards the center of the seat as big loops.
On the inboard side of the seat, the release cable must route under the trim cover.
On the outboard side of the seat, the release cable must route underneath and behind the release lever.
On the under side of the seat, the release cable must attach to both inboard and outboard front carriages, then guided into the cushion frame clips.
