Rear Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (40%)

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Move the seat to the Smart Slide® E-Z entry position.
  2. Remove the rear seat cushion trim panels. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Trim Panel Assembly Replacement - Outboard (40%) , or Rear Seat Cushion Trim Panel Assembly Replacement - Inboard (40%) .
  3. Remove the rear seat cushion front cover. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Front Cover Replacement (40%) .
1 Rear Seat Cushion Cover

Procedure

  1. Disengage the seat cushion cover j-channel from the seat cushion frame.
  2. Remove the hog rings that retain the rear of the seat cushion cover to the frame.
  3. Disconnect the rear seat latch cables.
  4. Remove the rear seat cushion cover and pad as an assembly.
NOTE:

When a seat back cushion cover is replaced on a seat equipped with manual lumbar, the technician must create a small 10mm cross slit in the trim cover to allow the lumbar actuator shaft through the cover exposing it, thereby allowing the lumbar knob to be attached to the shaft. The covers can be slid over the foam. Once the cover is on, the tech can feel for the location of the shaft so they know exactly where to make the slits
2 Rear Seat Cushion Pad

Procedure

  1. Disengage the hog rings retaining the cover to the pad.
  2. Separate the seat cushion cover from the pad.
