Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Remove the charge air cooler outlet pipe. Refer to Charged Air Cooler Hoses/Pipes Replacement (Inlet) or Charged Air Cooler Hoses/Pipes Replacement (Outlet) .

  3. Remove the nut and the positive cable from the intake air heater (IAH).

  4. Disconnect the air intake heater electrical connector.

  5. Remove the 4 intake air heater bolts and remove the IAH and pipe and discard the IAH gasket.
