Installation Procedure

  1. Position the fuel feed pipe and install the fuel feed block bolt.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the fuel feed pipe bracket bolt (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  4. Compress the clamp (1) and connect the fuel feed pipe to the fuel injector pump.

  6. Compress the clamp and connect the fuel pressure relief valve hose to the fuel feed pipe.

  8. Connect the FRT sensor electrical connector.

  10. Position the bracket and install the nut and 2 bolts.

    Connect the electrical connectors.

  12. Install the fuel line bracket bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  13. Connect the fuel feed and return pipes.
  14. Install the center intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Tube Replacement (LLY, LBZ) or Intake Manifold Tube Replacement (LMM) .
  15. Install the charge air cooler inlet pipe. Refer to Charged Air Cooler Hoses/Pipes Replacement (Inlet) or Charged Air Cooler Hoses/Pipes Replacement (Outlet) .
  16. Prime the fuel system. Refer to Fuel System Priming .
  17. Start the engine.

    If the engine does not start, repeat the above step.

  18. Inspect the fuel system for fuel leaks.
  19. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
