Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement (Sedan)

Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the tail lamps. Refer to Tail Lamp Replacement (Chevy Coupe) or Tail Lamp Replacement (Chevy/Pontiac Sedan) or Tail Lamp Replacement (Chevy Export) .
  2. Remove the license lamp. Refer to Rear License Lamp Replacement .
  3. Remove the rear wheel liners. Refer to Wheelhouse Liner Panel Replacement - Rear .
1 Rear Bumper Fascia - Upper Screws (Qty: 2)
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten:  2 N.m (18 lb in)

2 Rear Bumper Fascia - Upper Retainers (Qty: 4)

Tighten:  2 N.m (18 lb in)

3 Rear Bumper Fascia Bolts (Qty: 2)
Tip:  Access the bolt from inside the wheel well.

Tighten:  2.5 N.m (22 lb in)

4 Rear Bumper Fascia - Lower Retainers (Qty: 4)
5 Rear Bumper Fascia
Tip:  Pull the sides of the rear fascia at the quarter panel to release the fascia from the brackets.
