Visual/Physical Inspection

Begin the system diagnosis by reviewing the system Description and Operation. Reviewing the Description and Operation information will help you determine the correct symptom diagnostic procedure when a malfunction exists. Inspect for aftermarket devices which could affect the operation of the steering wheel and column.
Inspect the easily accessible or visible system components for obvious damage or conditions which could cause the symptom.
