Discharge Hose Replacement (HP5)

Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (With HP5)  or Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Without HP5) .
  2. Remove the left headlamp assembly. Refer to Headlamp Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor. Refer to Air Conditioning (A/C) Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Replacement (with HP5)  or Air Conditioning (A/C) Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Replacement (without HP5) .
  4. Raise and support the vehicle as necessary. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
1 A/C Discharge Line Fastener (Qty: 2)
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten:  16 N.m (12 lb ft)

2 A/C Discharge Line

Procedure

  1. Ensure to cap all HVAC line/hose connections immediately after removal to avoid contamination. Refer to Handling of Refrigerant Lines and Fittings .
  2. Remove the discharge line from the clamp mounted on the rear of the cooling fan housing.
  3. Rotate the discharge line to gain clearance for removal.
  4. Install new sealing washers. Refer to Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement
