DTC C0563: Calibration ROM Checksum Error

When ignition is first turned on, RTD module performs internal tests on EEPROM and can determine the integrity of EEPROMs volatile memory. RTD module compares previously stored checksum with checksum calculated when ignition switch is first turned on. If the two checksums do not match, RTD module will indicate calibration malfunction (checksum error) is current and will store DTC C0563 in RTD memory.

1. Perform RTD diagnostic system check. See RTD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. After performing RTD diagnostic system check, go to next step.
2. Replace RTD module. See RTD CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
