Installation Procedure

    Install a NEW brake pedal retainer (1) to the brake pedal.

  2. Ensure the locking tabs on the brake pedal retainer are fully engaged in the brake pedal.

    Using an assistant to reposition the brake master cylinder - with power brake booster and electronic brake control module, install the brake pedal assembly (3).

    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Brake Master Cylinder Nut (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications 
  5. Brake Pedal Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Engage the brake pedal (1) to the brake master cylinder push rod by pushing inwards.

  7. Ensure the brake pedal retainer is secured by lightly pulling rearward on the brake pedal (1).

    Brake Pedal Position Sensor Electrical Connector (2) - Connect

  9. Retainer (1) - Secure [2x]

    Air Distributor Duct Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Serial Data Gateway Bracket (2) - Install

  12. Serial Data Gateway Module Bracket Bolt (1) - Tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  13. Connect and position the wiring harness.

    NOTE:

    Typical wiring harness shown. Individual wiring harnesses may differ based on option content.

    Connect the electrical connectors (1)

  15. Floor Front Air Outlet Duct Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Deflector (2) - Install

  17. Instrument Panel Tie Bar Brace Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications

    Floor Front Air Outlet Duct - Left Side Outer (2) - Install

    Connect and position the wiring harness.

  20. Instrument Panel Knee Bolster (1) - Install

    Data Link Connector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

  22. Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
  23. Connect the electrical connector.

    Connect the electrical connector.

  25. Instrument Panel Center Trim Pad (1) - Install
  26. Return the steering column to its original position.

    Connect the electrical connector.

  28. Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator (1) - Install

    Install the tabs into the instrument panel lower trim panel insulator (1).

    Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator Retainer (1) - Install

  31. Instrument Panel Insulator Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  32. Instrument Panel Insulator Nut (3) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Attach the hood primary latch release cable end retainer to the hood primary latch release cable handle (1).

    Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover - Left Side (1) - Install

    Connect the electrical connector.

  36. Instrument Panel Lower Airbag - Driver Side (2) - Install
  37. Instrument Panel Lower Airbag Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  38. Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  39. Calibrate the brake pedal position sensor. Brake Pedal Position Sensor Calibration
