Installation Procedure

  1. Install battery positive cables to passenger compartment.

    Feed the battery positive cables (2) into the engine compartment and engage the harness grommet (1).

    Battery Positive Cable(5) - Install[2x]

  4. Auxiliary Generator Battery Jumper Cable(4) - Install
  5. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  6. Auxiliary Generator Battery Jumper Cable Nut(3) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  7. Battery Positive Cable Nut(1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  8. Fuse Block Cover(2) - Install

    NOTE:

    Quantity of retainers may vary based on option content.

    Retainer(2) - Engage

  10. Engage the battery positive cables (1) into the harness retainer channel.

    Connect electrical connector at left kick panel as necessary.

  12. Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Clip Bracket Bolt(4) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  13. Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Seal(3) - Install NEW
  14. Air Conditioning Evaporative Connector Hose/Tube and Compressor Hose(2)@Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger - Install
  15. Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Nut(1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger(2) - Install

  17. Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Clip Nut(1) - Install and tighten[2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Brake Master Cylinder(1) - Install

    Install a NEW brake pedal retainer (1) to the brake master cylinder push rod.

  21. Engage the brake pedal (2) to the brake pedal retainer (1) by pushing inward.
  22. Ensure the locking tabs on the brake pedal retainer are fully engaged in the brake pedal (2) and the retainer is attached securely to the brake master cylinder push rod.
  23. Remove the caps from the 4 brake front pipe inlets.

    Install the forward lamp wiring harness extension (3) into the plenum front panel.

    Install the windshield wiper system module (2) in the vehicle.

  43. Connect the windshield wiper motor electrical connector.

    Air Inlet Grille Panel(2) - Install

  46. Install the air inlet grille panel (2) between both hood hinges.
  47. Connect the windshield washer nozzle hose to the windshield washer pump hose.

    Install the front compartment side sight shields (2) to both sides.

    Install the hood rear outer air inlet seals (2) to both sides.

    Install the air inlet grille panel extensions (1).

  54. Remove the masking tape from the body around the top edges of the air inlet grille panel extensions (1).
  55. Using a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and clean drinkable water with a clean towel, remove any left over adhesive residue from the masking tape.

  57. Clean the windshield wiper transmission pivot shaft splines with a soft wire brush before installing the windshield wiper arms (3).
  58. Position the windshield wiper arms (3) on the windshield wiper transmission pivot shafts.

    Attach the hood primary latch release cable end retainer to the hood primary latch release cable handle (1).

    Connect the electrical connector at lower air bag.

    Install the upper channel covers (2).

    Install the battery positive cables (3) to the lower channel.

    NOTE:

    Reposition the front floor panel carpet as needed.

    Starting at the front of the front side door sill garnish molding (1), engage the clip on the forward vertical wall and locator pin.

  121. Work your way rearward engaging all the front side door sill garnish molding clips.

  135. Check the brake system for leaks.

    If required, realign the windshield wipers to their respective alignment circles (1) on the windshield.

  137. Lubricate the windshield with clean washer fluid.
  138. Run the windshield wipers for 2 complete cycles, then turn off the windshield wipers.
  139. Ensure the windshield wipers are in the full park position.
  140. Inspect the windshield wipers for proper position to the alignment circles (1) on the windshield.
