Removal Procedure
WARNING:
Refer to Brake Dust Warning .
WARNING:
Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning .
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (ATS) , or Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (ATS-V) .
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Non V-Series) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (V-Series) .
- Remove the front wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement (All Wheel Drive) , or Front Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement (Rear Wheel Drive) .
Disconnect the brake pipe fitting (1) from the brake hose.
- Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
Remove the brake hose retaining clip (1).
Release the brake hose from the wheel speed sensor harness clips (1).
Remove the brake hose bracket bolt (1).
Remove the brake hose fitting bolt (1).
- Remove and discard the brake hose fitting gaskets (2) from the brake hose fitting (3).
- Remove the brake hose.
NOTE:
Do not reuse the brake hose fitting gaskets.
