Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement .
  2. Remove the front and rear sections of the supercharger inlet duct assembly. Refer to Supercharger Inlet Duct Assembly Replacement .

  3. Remove the left exhaust camshaft sensor. Refer to Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement - Bank 2 (Left Side) Exhaust .
  4. Remove the left intake camshaft sensor. Refer to Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement - Bank 2 (Left Side) Intake .
  5. Remove the power steering reservoir.
  6. Remove the left camshaft cover. Refer to Camshaft Cover Replacement - Left Side .
  7. Remove the drive belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement - Air Conditioning, Power Steering, and Water Pump .

  8. Remove the left intake camshaft position actuator solenoid bolts.
  9. Remove the left intake camshaft position actuator solenoid.
  10. Remove the left intake camshaft position actuator solenoid alignment plug and discard.

  11. Remove the left exhaust camshaft position actuator solenoid bolts.
  12. Remove the left exhaust camshaft position actuator solenoid.
  13. Remove the left exhaust camshaft position actuator solenoid alignment plug and discard.

  14. Remove the left camshaft position actuator housing bolts.
  15. Remove the left camshaft position actuator housing.
