Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Ensure that the marks on the camshaft position actuators and the timing chain (15-18) are aligned.
- DO NOT tighten the camshaft position actuator bolt at this time.
- Locate the camshafts to the cylinder head and assemble the camshaft actuators to the camshafts.
- Install the camshafts and the camshaft bearing caps. Refer to Camshaft Installation - Right .
- Remove the EN 46108 .
- Install the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Installation .
- Install and tighten the camshaft position actuators. Refer to Camshaft Position (CMP) Actuator Installation - Right Intake and Camshaft Position (CMP) Actuator Installation - Right Exhaust .
- Install the intake camshaft position actuator solenoid. Refer to Camshaft Position (CMP) Actuator Solenoid Replacement - Bank 1 (Right) Intake in Engine Controls - 3.6L (LY7).
- Install the camshaft sensors. Refer to Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor Replacement - Bank 1 (Right) Exhaust and Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor Replacement - Bank 1 (Right) Intake in Engine Controls - 3.6L (LY7).
