DTC C0638 Or C0643: Normal Force Circuit High (2000 Models)

  1. Perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  . After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step.
  2. Check normal force circuit (White or Gray wire) for a short to voltage. If a short to voltage was found and repaired, go to step  6 . If a short to voltage was not found, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect EBCM harness connector. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Wait 90 seconds and check suspension control module DTCs. If DTC reset, go to next step. If DTC did not reset, go to step  5 .
  4. Replace suspension control module. See ESC/CVRSS CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Calibrate NEW control module. See CALIBRATING ESC/CVRSS CONTROL MODULE  under ADJUSTMENTS. If replacement is complete, go to step  6 .
  5. Replace EBCM. See appropriate ANTI-LOCK article. If replacement is complete, go to next step.
  6. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Operate vehicle under normal driving conditions. If DTC resets, go to step  2 . If DTC does not reset, system is okay.
