Test Am: Trip Odometer Inoperative

  1. If instrument cluster diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If instrument cluster diagnostic system check was not performed, go to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECKS.
  2. If speedometer and/or odometer operate properly, go to next step. If speedometer and/or odometer do not operate properly, go to SPEEDOMETER AND/OR ODOMETER INOPERATIVE .
  3. Replace Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to next step.
  4. After repairs, recheck operation of trip odometer. If trip odometer operates properly, repair is complete. If trip odometer does not operate properly, return to step  2.
