Removal Procedure

  1. Camshaft Housing Cover Insulator Replacement - Right Side  - Remove
  2. Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube @ Camshaft Cover - Disconnect
  3. Ignition Coil Replacement - Bank 1 - Remove
  4. Camshaft Position Actuator Valve Solenoid Replacement - Bank 1 (Right Side) Exhaust - Remove
  5. Camshaft Position Actuator Valve Solenoid Replacement - Bank 1 (Right Side) Intake - Remove
  6. Disconnect and remove the engine harness from the camshaft cover.

    Camshaft Cover Bolt (1) - Remove [18x]

  8. Camshaft Cover (2) - Remove
  9. Camshaft Cover Seal (3) - Remove and DISCARD
  10. Disassemble the camshaft cover as needed. Camshaft Cover Disassemble 
  11. Clean the mating surfaces of the cylinder head and the camshaft cover. Camshaft Cover Cleaning and Inspection
