Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Install the mass air flow sensor with intake air temperature sensor to the air cleaner upper housing. Refer to Mass Airflow Sensor with Intake Air Temperature Sensor Replacement .
    2. Fig 1: Air Cleaner Upper Housing & Bolts

  2. Install the air cleaner upper housing (2).
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install the 6 air cleaner housing cover bolts (1) and tighten to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  4. Clip in the ECM wiring harness plug retainer (2) to the air cleaner housing.
  5. Connect the mass airflow sensor wiring harness plug (1).
  6. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
