Installation Procedure

  1. Install the engine front cover. Refer to Engine Front Cover Assemble .
    2. Fig 2: View Of Water Pump

  2. Install the water pump. Refer to Water Pump Replacement (LY7) .
  3. Install the camshaft covers.
  4. Install the drive belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement .

  5. Install the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Installation .
  6. Install the coolant overflow reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement (L27, LY7) .
  7. Install the power steering reservoir. Refer to Remote Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement (LY7) .
  8. Install the radiator inlet hose. Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LY7) .
  9. Install the coolant outlet. Refer to Water Outlet Installation .

  10. Install the generator assembly. Refer to Generator Replacement (LY7) .
  11. Install engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement .

  12. Install the ECM module. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement .
  13. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LY7) .
