Install the tension strut

• Replace the cage nut (1).

  Parts:  Cage nut

• Position the tension strut (1) on the swivel bearing and the front subframe.
• Replace the screw (2).

  Parts:  Screw

• Screw in screw (2) several turns.

• Adjust tension strut (1) on swivel bearing (2) to dimension (A) (vehicle raised, spring strut extended).

  Dimension (A) = 60 mm

  Installation of the tension strut (1) on the front subframe to the dimension (A) corresponds to the NORMAL POSITION in the compressed state.

  NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION 
  Tighten the screw connection in the  NORMAL POSITION  .
• Tighten down screw (1).

  TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
  
  

  Tension strut to front axle support
  M12 Replace bolt and cage nut. Tighten in normal position.	Tightening torque  Angle of rotation	68 Nm 180°

• Position the tension strut (2) on swivel bearing (3).
• Replace nut (1).

  Parts:  Nut

• Tighten nut (1). If necessary, counter support at the Torx socket.

  Tension strut to swivel bearing
  M14 Replace nut.	Tightening torque	175 Nm
