Replacing the strut

• Check the auxiliary damper (1) and spring pad (2) and replace them if necessary.
• Slide the auxiliary damper (1) and the spring pad (2) onto the suspension strut (3).

• Insert the suspension strut (1) with the spring pad and the auxiliary damper into the tensioned coil spring (2).

• Check the spring pad (1) and replace as needed.

• Position the spring pad (1) based on the recess to the spring strut support bearing (2).

• Align the coil spring end (1) at the spring pad (2) to the stop.

• Push the strut mount with the spring pad (2) onto the piston rod of the suspension strut shock absorber.
• Align the coil spring end (1) at the spring pad (2) to the stop.

• Align the support bearing (1) with the suspension strut as shown in the illustration.
  • A = left spring strut
  • B = right spring strut

  NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION 
  Releasing and tightening the nut on the support bearing or spring strut support bearing with an impact screwdriver is prohibited.
• Replace nut.

• Tighten the nut with special tool 2 360 213  , the reversible ratchet with extension, the nut SW10 and torque wrench with ring wrench insert SW21.

  Spring strut support bearing to spring strut
  M14 Replace nut.	tightening torque	47 Nm

• Install the cable and insert the connector (1) on the spring strut.
