Removing delivery unit

- When working on the fuel system, make sure the workstation has sufficient ventilation, e.g., by means of extraction.
- Tightly seal off open lines and connections; collect any leakage fuel directly at the point of exit.
- No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.

Preliminary work
- Refer to SUCTIONING THE FUEL TANK .
- Refer to REMOVING REAR SEAT BENCH .
- Refer to OPENING THE LOCKING RING .
- Lift flange lid (1) in arrow direction.
- Disconnect plug connection (1).
If installed: Remove cable tie
- Remove cable tie (1).
- Press snap fastener in direction of delivery unit.
- Press snap-in lugs (1) and (2) and pull snap fastener up and off.
- Unlock and detach snap fastener (3).
- Unlock the detent (1) in the direction of the arrow.
- Detach holder for the fuel filter (2) upwards.
- Place fuel filter with holder (2) to the side so that the locking mechanism for the delivery unit is accessible.
- Unlock lock (1) arrow direction from the top.
- Slightly push delivery unit (2) in arrow direction and feed out to the top.
- Remove fuel filter with the bracket from the fuel tank.
- Remove the delivery unit from the fuel tank.
To remove the delivery unit the fuel filter must be removed.
