Brake hose, rear

WARNING: Vehicle may slip off the vehicle hoist if the vehicle hoist is handled incorrectly.

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Incorrect routing of the brake hose.
If the brake hose is twisted or in contact with surrounding components, it can be damaged and cause the brake system to fail.

Do not install the brake hose in a twisted position.

Use only BMW-approved brake fluids.

Preliminary work

Refer to REMOVING THE REAR LEFT AND RIGHT WHEELS .
Refer to INSTALLING BRAKE PEDAL TENSIONER .

Release union screw (1).
Remove the brake hose (2) from the holder.

Detach the brake hose from the holder (1).
Detach brake hose (2) from brake caliper.
