Installing the headlining (with sliding/tilting sunroof)

Precondition 

The front seats have been fully adjusted towards the bottom.

The front seat backrests have been fully adjusted towards the rear.

The rear seat backrest is folded down toward the front.

• Install the counter support of the sun visors (1)  in the headlining and secure it with the clamps (2)  .

• Check the clips (1)  on the headlining for damage.

  Defective or missing clips (1)  must be replaced.

• Check the clamps (2)  along the dotted line for damage.

  Defective or missing clamps (2)  need to be replaced.

• Insert the headlining (1)  through the windshield opening into the vehicle with the aid of an support person.
• Insert the headlining (1)  with the help of an auxiliary person onto the respective edge protection.
• Clip in headlining (1)  on the clips (2)  .
• Clip the headlining (1)  in the area of the dotted line at the slide/tilt sunroof unit and the clamps (3)  .
• Clip headlining to the clips (2)  .
• Tighten down screw (1)  .

  TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Headlining on frame
  Oval-head screw	tightening torque	1.5 Nm

• Tighten the screws (1)  .
