Installing belt tensioner of alternator

- Reduce preload as far as possible before disassembly. Relieve component.
- Insert and install the alternator (1) belt tensioner.
- Tighten the screws (arrows).
TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

- Using a standard tool (1), increase the preload on the alternator belt tensioner by turning it in the direction of the arrow .
- Secure the alternator belt tensioner with the special tool 0 496 268 (11 0 390)

- Insert the drive belt for alternator (1) on the alternator (2) and install it.
- Make sure that the drive belt for alternator (1) has been installed correctly.
- Raise the preload with standard tools (1) on the belt tensioner in the arrow direction .
- Feed out the special tool 0 496 268 (11 0 390) from the belt tensioner and remove.
