- Apply the sealant (1) as shown on the special tool 2 469 803
.

SEALING COMPOUND DESCRIPTION

- Check the fitting sleeves (1) for damage and that they are in the correct installation position.
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The sealing surfaces must be free of oil, grease and cleaning agents.

- Clean sealing surface (2) .
- Apply the sealing compound on the contact edges of the separating plane for the oil pan (3)
.
- Make sure that the sealing cap (1) with the radial shaft seal is not stored for more than 6 months without support bushing (2) .
- Make sure that the support bushing (2)
stays in the sealing cap (1)
with the radial shaft seal until installation, as the support bushing (2)
is used as a slip bushing.
- Replace the sealing cap (1)
with the radial shaft seal.

- Coat the tire tread of the crankshaft with motor oil.

on the crankshaft and slide it on.
