Remove rear bumper panel

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
To ensure the quality of the Driver Assistance functions in vehicles with concealed radar sensors, the component may only be repainted in compliance with the following instructions:
No stickers or films (transparent or colored) may be affixed in the transmission areas of the radar sensors.
If there are no radar sensors fitted, the component may be painted.
The following features can be used to identify whether radar sensors are installed on the vehicle:
Radar sensors are installed at the rear if the triangular warning lamp is present on the exterior mirror (in the mirror glass or on the mirror frame).
Radar sensors are installed at the front and rear if the triangular warning light is present on the exterior mirror (in the mirror glass or on the mirror frame) in conjunction with optional equipment S5ATA or S5AUA.

Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE LEFT AND RIGHT FLAPS FROM THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANEL .
- Refer to REMOVING BOTH LOWERING D-PILLAR TRIM PANELS .
- Refer to REMOVING THE LEFT AND RIGHT TAIL LIGHT FROM THE SIDE PANEL .
- Refer to REMOVING TRIM FROM THE WATER CHANNEL .
NOTE:
Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Release wheel arch trim (1) in area of bumper panel from latch mechanisms.
- Unclip wheel arch trim (1) from clip (2) .
NOTE:
Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Loosen screws (1) .
NOTE:
Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Loosen screws (1)

There is no screw under the reflector on the life cycle impulse vehicles.
- Release bumper cover (2) at top from detents in area of side panel and remove towards rear.
- Disconnect the plug connections and place the bumper cover (2) .
